A list of  items we should eat daily.

So much diet information is available. Some think carbs are unhealthy, others argue they're essential. Vegan and paleo diets exist also.

This can be very perplexing. However, Dr. Michael Greger, author of 'How Not to Die,' claims to have the answer.

After reviewing dozens of nutritional studies, Dr. Greger's Daily Dozen is a list of foods we should all eat for optimal health.

Beans include fiber, protein, and many health advantages, thus Dr. Greger loves them. According to the doctor, consume 3 servings of beans  daily.

Berries are on the list because they are antioxidant-rich. Dr. Greger suggests consuming 1/2 cup of fresh berries daily.

We all know, "An apple a day keeps the doctor away." This seems to require 3 apples or 3 pieces of fruit every day

One serving (1/2 cup chopped) of cruciferous vegetables like broccoli, cauliflower, or kale will trim and improve your health.
